From “Paper Tearing” to Unity -- ADEKOM’s 2016 Semi-Annual Meeting
We have passed the midway point of 2016. On July 25th, all our directors, heads of departments, and our staff gathered for the semi-annual meeting.
At the beginning our heads of departments had a semi-annual review of our company’s performance and made plans for the second half year. Then, together with their subordinates, they declared their ambitions for the second half year, and met with warm responses. Afterwards, there came our semi-annual party.
We played a game called “Paper Tearing”. We each had one A4-size paper, and we tried hard to tear our own papers into strips. The longer our strips, the better. One minute later, we were surprised that our directors asked us to adjoin each our strips together. More surprisingly, when we finally managed to adjoin the strips, the original long strips in our own hands turned out to be short. Our directors reminded us that individuals have limited powers. Only when we pull together can we be much more potent. Only when we rely on the power of unity, can we realize our goals.

At the end of the meeting, the board of directors encouraged each department to strive for further success in the second half of 2016 through hard work and unity. They added that no one can be perfect, but a team can achieve excellence.
